Martindale Public School
Martindale Public School is the last small school in the Denman area, which continues to serve a diverse, mostly rural community. The one-teacher school caters for 19 students from Kindergarten through to Year 6, which ensures a constantly busy classroom. In addition to implementing the mandatory syllabus, students at Martindale Public School benefit from: the provision of more 'teacher time' per student; the development of independent work habits; opportunities for the development of responsibility, cooperation and leadership qualities; and the building of tolerance and acceptance of differences. The learning environment also provides encouragement for students to progress at their own pace and the implementation of intervention programs for students experiencing difficulties both academically and socially. Martindale Public school has very strong support from parents and the local community.
