Maroota Public School
Maroota Public School is a small, community school set in the Hawkesbury area of NSW. The school grounds are expansive with playing fields, tennis court, shaded adventure playground and an environmental education area. The classrooms are well-resourced with computers, interactive whiteboards, iPads and Lego robotics. The school offers quality education in all curriculum areas with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy. The school works in partnership with other local small schools in implementing the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics project. School structure consists of multi-grade classes with 2 full-time and 2 part-time teachers. Maroota Public School is an accredited Active After Schools Communities school and offers a wide range of sporting tuition for all students throughout the year. The school is an active participant in the Positive Behaviour for Learning program involving the whole school community. Parental involvement is a key feature of the school and enables a strong partnership in education to maximise learning outcomes for all students.
