Lithgow Public School
Lithgow Public School, with approximately 450 students is located at the western gateway to the Blue Mountains in the Bathurst Network of the NSW Department of Education. Lithgow Public School has played a significant role within the Lithgow community for 140 years. The school actively develops and values partnerships with parents and the wider community through a variety of special events and classroom programs. Lithgow Public School is committed to creating dynamic, engaging and inclusive learning spaces where stimulating future-focused learning empowers all. The school promotes a strong and innovative academic focus on literacy and numeracy developed by a highly experienced and dedicated staff who engage, support and extend students to give them the skills, confidence and values for continued success today and into the future. Key school initiatives and programs include: Early Action for Success, Primary sports (PSSA), Live Life Well, Gifted and Talented and Performing Arts including recorder ensembles, choirs, bands, and debating. Our school community includes students from many diverse cultural backgrounds, five special classes for students with a disability and our State Selective Gifted and Talented class (OC).
