Lisarow Public School

Lisarow Public School is a public school of approximately 200 students set in pleasant rural surrounds on the Central Coast of NSW. The school has held a prominent place in the local community for all of its 90 years. Our school provides a welcoming, friendly environment for students to achieve their personal best. Teachers, parents and the local community have developed strong and effective partnerships and work together to enhance the many quality programs provided to the students. The school has well developed intervention and support programs for students requiring additional support. The school has an active Parents and Citizens Association and School Council which both support the school in a variety of ways. The school provides opportunities for students to be involved in all areas of the curriculum including the Creative and Performing Arts, Sport and Environmental activities. The school participates annually in the Central Coast Dance Festival as well as the biennial Central Coast Choral Festival. A team is also entered in the Premier's Debating Challenge each year with our teams achieving great success. All students also participate in the school public speaking competition with winners participating in zone and regional competitions. The students can also participate in both the Premier's Reading Challenge and Spelling Bee. In sport, teams are entered in NSW PSSA Knockout Competitions in a variety of sports and students also have the opportunity to participate in school athletics, swimming and cross country carnivals. Students also have the opportunity of participating in the Premier's Sporting Challenge. The school is currently implementing Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and The Resilience Project as part of the Wellbeing Framework with our school expectations of Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best. Our school is a proud member of the Valley Schools Learning Community.
