Larnook Public School
Larnook Public School is a small country school established in 1922 with a current population of 43 pupils. The school is seen by its community as a valuable social and educational environment for its children. The majority live in the local community and are bussed to the school. Larnook receives additional funding from the Priority Schools Program. This program is an integral component of our school. The School Vision is to provide a caring and co-operative community of children, parents and teachers. A place where all children come to believe in their unique worth and in the worth of others through meaningful learning. The school is part of a small schools community learning group, The Big Scrub Learning Community. This provides additional opportunities to interact and participate in a wide variety of student and professional learning activities. For students these include gifted and talented days as well as interest days. For staff the activities include regular collegial meetings and development days. This learning group extends the opportunites for the total school community.
