Lake Albert Public School

Lake Albert Public School continues to provide quality education to the local community as it has done since 1868. The Lake Albert School Community is founded upon the principles of: Every child has the right and responsibility to learn. Every teacher has the right and responsibility to teach. Every parent/carer has the right and responsibility to be involved in their child's education. The core values of the school community revolve around being kind, polite, safe and tidy. The school motto of Strive and Succeed underpins all of these values. There is a very important focus on developing students as valuable community members. A strong emphasis is placed on academic achievement and students have opportunities to participate in a number of academic challenges including the NAPLAN assessment program, the Premier's Spelling Bee and Reading Challenge and University of NSW tests. Students are given creative and performing arts opportunities through choir, dance and musical programs. The school has a proud sporting tradition with recognition of the many talented students on display in the school hallways. A before and after school program operates each day and a vacation care program is also in operation. Lake Albert has 15 mainstream classes and an IO class.
