Kandos Public School provides students with comprehensive educational programs delivered by highly qualified, dedicated teachers and support staff. Child centred decision making by a strong leadership team is a feature of the school. School facilities have undergone a major upgrade with the construction of new classrooms, a purpose built library and a multi-purpose hall, providing stimulating learning environments as well as modern performing arts and sporting facilities. The school provides an inclusive, supported environment for special education students in two multi-categorical classes. A feature is the specialised computer room as well as computers and interactive whiteboards in every classroom. Staff provide opportunities for students to participate in choir, guitar, dance, public speaking, debating, school performance and a variety of both competitive and fun sports. The school consistently delivers innovative school based programs and supports access to regional initiatives for Gifted and Talented Students. Staff are encouraged to participate in programs that cater for different learning styles and foster student engagement. Parental involvement is promoted and celebrated at all levels - in-class , P&C, forums and workshops.
