Ivanhoe Central School

Ivanhoe Central School is a very attractive and well-resourced community school. Set in well kept and pleasant surrounds the school provides a very safe and supporting learning environment. It strives for educational excellence that develops the whole person through fostering a positive school environment, effective school programs and community involvement. The school's focus is to develop the best for all through caring for all. Each teacher has a distinctive teaching style but all have a commitment to a supportive approach towards the common goal of assisting in the development of each individual student. There are approximately 40 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 enrolled in the school with seven staff including a Principal, Head Teacher Secondary Studies, Assistant Principal, one full time ancillary staff and an Aboriginal Education Assistant. The school relies on various government support programs such as the Country Area Program which aims at reducing any disadvantage that the school has due to its geographic isolation. Ivanhoe Central School has developed a wide variety of programs and initiatives which support its teaching programs.
