Harwood Island Public School
Harwood Island Public School is a small school that gives students big experiences in a caring and encouraging environment. Harwood Island Public School is located in the village of Harwood Island on the Clarence River. The school has two heritage listed buildings situated in extensively landscaped grounds with a rainforest, outdoor "tree house" learning space and beautiful gardens. We provide quality and equitable education to all students. Our aim is to set high standards for our students. Our classrooms are student focused, in which learning is genuinely personalised. We provide a vibrant and innovative environment that produces well-educated students with the capability and confidence to succeed as future global citizens. Our dedicated teachers and experienced staff are committed to delivering programs that develop and benefit all students. We aim to provide a balanced education that values and supports the intellectual, creative, physical, social and emotional development of each child. We ensure that students have appropriate information and communication technology skills to meet their educational needs through our well resourced classrooms and learning spaces. At Harwood Island Public School, the parents and teachers work together to ensure all students strive to reach their full potential. We are fortunate to have strong community involvement and our dedicated P&C work hard to raise funds and are continually making improvements to the school.
