Harrington Public School
Harrington Public School, situated on the mid-north coast of NSW, is integral to the Harrington community. Our school values: Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best, underpin all that we do towards achieving the school motto: Moving Forward Together. The school aims to grow our young students into exceptional global citizens. We do this by providing a balance of quality academic, sporting, creative and social programs. We offer small class sizes with individualised learning programs by specialist teachers. Emphasis is placed on the mastery of essential literacy and numeracy skills while catering for individual differences. The local community is a crucial component of our award winning tutor program which successfully provides students with extra literacy and numeracy support. As a Live Life Well school, we embrace fun and physical activity but we also strongly encourage and coach students to participate in various sports, PSSA and Zone level athletics and swimming. Whole school choirs and lunchtime dance groups feature at Harrington Public School. An active Student Representative Council (K-6) and a strong Year 6 leadership program ensure the student voice is heard and respected.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
