Gulargambone Central School
Gulargambone Central School is a K to12 school located 120 kilometres north of Dubbo in the Warrumbungle School Group within Western Region. Gulargambone Central School has 73% of students who identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. The school offers a supportive educational experience for its students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The students are supported in their learning by dedicated staff who provide a learning environment which focuses on individual learning needs. The school receives funding from the Country Area Program (CAP), Norta Norta Program and Priority School Program (PSP) which enables a variety of programs to be implemented to improve student outcomes across Key Learning Areas. Gulargambone Central School has excellent facilities, which include well-maintained classrooms and the latest technology. The school plays an important role within the community and is supported by an active Parents and Citizens organisation. The formation of an Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) in 2006 has provided a platform for the development of strategic partnerships with the Aboriginal community to enhance student outcomes for Aboriginal students.
