Greystanes Public School

Greystanes Public School is set within attractive and spacious grounds. It is well maintained and well resourced.  The school has a current enrolment of 550 students, including 70% from a non-English speaking background. The recent school upgrade boasts twenty-four new and modern classrooms as well as a new administration building, purpose-built play equipment and a spacious Covered Outdoor Learning Area. The school has highly qualified, experienced staff who deliver innovative, engaging, educational learning programs.  High quality Literacy and Numeracy programs operate throughout the school, with differentiated programs to support students with a wide range of needs, including high potential and gifted students. The school focuses on developing the whole child, providing a well-balanced curriculum where students are engaged in interesting, authentic and challenging learning experiences supporting each of them to achieve their maximum potential. The school has achieved excellent results in state-wide tests and competitions. Staff and students are supported by a team of specialist teachers, including High Potential and Gifted Education, Learning Support and English as an Additional Language or Dialect as well as experienced and dedicated administrative staff. The school is well resourced in technology, utilising a range of devices to enable the students to be effective future learners. Students and staff have access to laptops, iPads, interactive whiteboards and a newly renovated technology hub. Numerous opportunities are provided for students to participate in creative, performing and sporting activities as well as debating, public speaking, chess and gardening. The whole school community supports and demonstrates the core values of respect, responsibility, cooperation, honesty and pride. Staff and students are supported by an active school community and dedicated Parents and Citizens Association.
