Grafton Public School
Grafton Public School has a positive atmosphere and energy. It is a large regional rural inclusive public school sharing a split site in the centre of Grafton. Our adjacent sites are beautifully presented and include expansive grounds for our students to play and work in. There are three special education classes, many mainstream integrated students and a significant student population proudly identifying their Aboriginal heritage. The community wants all children to achieve their best and be productive citizens, and provides them with rich opportunities for their later life.We have over 45 teaching staff providing a challenging, engaging, rewarding and supportive curriculum. This includes a band program, photography, robotics and chess clubs, participation in state debating and choral competitions. The library is the centre of our learning programs and is supported by our extensive technology resources and programs. Our expectations of ourselves and our students are high and continue to evolve. We believe in and practise quality teaching through collaboration and teamwork. All children can learn - no excuses, just encouragement balanced with high expectations and support where necessary.
