Freemans Reach Public School is a welcoming, friendly school with strong cooperative relationships with parents and the community. It is located in a semi rural area of the Hawkesbury near Windsor. The school strives to develop respect, understanding, responsibility and independence and maintains an effective welfare and discipline program with a focus on social skills, decision making, citizenship and student leadership. Situated in beautifully landscaped grounds, the school is well resourced with modern technology including ipads, interactive whiteboards and wireless internet, a modern library, attractive air conditioned classrooms and flexible learning spaces. The school offers a variety of programs with a particular focus on literacy, numeracy, dance, technology, sport and gifted and talented education. A highly effective support program offers assistance to students with learning difficulties through the Reading Recovery, Learning Assistance and English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) programs which are closely monitored by the learning support team. Parents make valued contributions to our school and are welcome at all times to participate in school activities and discuss issues concerning the education and welfare of their children. This school works closely with neighbouring Hawkesbury High School and five other local schools as part of the Hawkesbury Learning Community to offer relevant and effective school programs and activities.
