Epping West Public School delivers high quality, educational experiences for all students. The school is a nurturing environment that values diversity and inclusion, engaging the community with strong personal values whilst allowing opportunities to challenge and inspire students to explore and connect with the world. Students are supported and encouraged to achieve their own personal goals in order to become confident, creative and successful learners. Situated in Northern Sydney, the school has a strong community history having been built in 1927. Our rapidly increasing and diverse student population is approximately 1100 students and includes those from many diverse cultural backgrounds and three support classes for students with a disability. The school encourages a holistic and inclusive approach, supported by strong student wellbeing programs and a caring and supportive partnership with parents. Choice Theory, Reality Therapy, The Creative Learner Qualities and Lead Management underpin the ethos, curriculum and procedures in the school and provide a common language and practice to build respectful relationships and foster effective communication with students, staff, parents and the wider community. Students and staff work in high possibility classroomsusing quality learning pedagogy that is continually monitored using regular reflective practice. A sense of belonging and excellence in academic performance, performing arts and sport, develop our students as “the whole child”. A wide range of extracurricular activities is available to develop excellence and encourage participation.
