Emmaville Central School
Emmaville Central School is a small K to12 school located in a small supportive township in the northern New England area. The school receives equity funding for isolation and low socioeconomic communities. Staff are highly skilled in a broad range of areas and have won a variety of awards for their excellent teaching. Parents and community members support the school wholeheartedly. There is a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy and technology across the school. Classes are small and teaching is highly responsive to individual students' needs. Innovative programs in Vocational Education, chess, creative arts, student leadership and student welfare aim to provide opportunities for all. A chaplaincy program supports pastoral care, values education, student endeavours and citizenship. The school's Stage 6 (Years 11 and 12) students study the majority of their subjects through Dubbo School of Distance Education but English, Mathematics and Construction are delivered face to face by Emmaville Central School staff.
