Lismore Public School

The school achieves its mission by providing its students with quality educational programs delivered by highly qualified teachers. The school of approximately 350 students caters for a wide range of learning abilities. The school is made up of twelve mainstream classes, a hearing class, a language class, two classes for students with moderate disabilities plus an early intervention class. The school's population is diverse with both Aboriginal and Sudanese students also attending. A welcoming and friendly school, we work in close partnership with our community who value the varied opportunities the school provides for their children including the choir, the band and sporting experiences. The school's playground is large with grassy lawns and numerous trees providing a pleasant environment. Our school has a modern computer laboratory which is accessed by all students. All classes have interactive whiteboards installed and these are used as the major mode of curriculum delivery. This ensures that students are exposed to the latest technologies in order to enhance their learning. The staff is responsive to the emerging needs of the students and provides them with a range of educational programs which are challenging. This ensures that the students are positively engaged in the numerous learning experiences provided. The school's Positive Behaviour for Learning program ensures high standards of behaviour are maintained through a consistent approach by all staff. For your child this means a happy and safe environment for all.
