Deepwater Public School
Deepwater Public School, established in 1884, is a rural school in the Northern Tablelands Region. The school is part of the Border Ranges Small Schools Learning Alliance and enthusiastically participates in a variety of sporting, cultural and educational opportunities with surrounding small schools. Staff are innovative, dynamic and committed to improving individualised student learning outcomes within a collegial and supportive environment. The Deepwater Public School P&C association is a highly active committee that aims to consistently improve school infrastructure and educational opportunities for our students. They enable and encourage communication between parents and the school and create a strong sense of school community. The school provides education for students drawn from the immediate township and local rural area. Students work in a multi-stage K-6 classroom with one full time teaching principal and one part-time teacher who are all supported by a School Administration Manager four days a week. All previous National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy results show that students are achieving or exceeding stage outcomes in literacy and numeracy. With a focus on Growth Mindsets and the You Can Do It program, Deepwater Public School is highly accustomed to fostering positive student wellbeing in a safe and supportive learning environment. Respect, safety and student engagement are embedded throughout teaching and learning programs to encourage and sustain reflective lifelong learners. At Deepwater Public School we are “Learning for Life”.
