Darlington Point Public School
Darlington Point Public School is a small rural school that offers students a broad range of educational opportunities in a supportive learning environment.The school provides education for students predominately drawn form the town area. About 33 % of the student population identify as being from an Indigenous background. The School has had a strong focus on Quality Teaching and learning. This focus has been supported through access to a variety of programs that include the Priority Schools Program and the Quality Teaching Indigenous program. A feature of Darlington Point Public School is the strong Aboriginal education program which has been developed over a number of years. This program involves the teaching of Wiradjuri K-6 along with a strong emphasis on developing student and community cultural knowledge. Over the years the school has developed a Bush garden incorporating a Bora ring and outdoor learning area to complement the program. The school has also developed strong partnerships with the local community over a number of years becoming a focus for the township of Darlington Point.
