Currabubula Public School

Currabubula Public School offers its students an attractive learning environment. The core values of the school are to provide a quality education for all students while offering a personal approach that allows each student to achieve their best. The school supports a small pre-school two days a week. Students' needs are met in two classes, Kindergarten to Year 2 and Years 3 to 6, offering a wide range of experiences for all children. Currabubula Public School adopts best teaching practice with both classes offering literacy through the Accelerated Literacy program. Best Start is used by the Kindergarten to Year 2 teacher for all students in the Junior room. Currabubula Public School offers a comprehensive Music and Performing Arts program with the services of a specialist music teacher who prepares students for the instrumental festival at the Sydney Opera House. It also offers a wide range of opportunities for participation in sport and the creative arts, and hosts the Currabubula Small Schools Art Show each year. Currabubula Public School is supported by an active Parents and Citizens Association who significantly contribute to the successful running of the school.

LED Upgrade

Maintenance

To ensure the safety, reliability and longevity of our schools, every school across NSW receives maintenance. The Department undertakes preventative and routine maintenance every year, and repairs as needed. The Department also reviews the planned maintenance program for each school every year and reviews those items that are predicted to require work to help prolong the life of the school buildings and facilities.

Demountables

Demountables have been part of the NSW education system for many decades and will continue to be used across the state. Demountable classrooms are modern, air-conditioned rooms that provide students and teaching staff with excellent quality facilities. The learning spaces have the same range of technology that is available in permanent spaces. We review school accommodation needs each year, looking at changing enrolment patterns and other factors to prepare for the upcoming school year. This helps to identify schools that need new demountables and schools where they can removed. Most demountable movement takes place between October and February and we report our annual demountable statistics each April. Additional demountable installations can occur outside this window to support capital works and maintenance projects in schools or emergency responses to natural disasters.
