Coolah Central School

Coolah Central School is a creative, caring K to 12 school. It operates on a cooperative team basis and is supported by a dedicated Parents and Citizens (P and C) Association. Students are involved in decision making about their school through the Students Representative Council. The school's mission statement was developed during 1999 with the school community and states that 'Coolah Central School, in partnership with the community, promotes excellence by challenging and supporting individuals to create their future, in a secure and caring environment.' Coolah Central School's vison 'we work together as a community to create opportunites for rural students K to 12' provides guidance in the development of programs. The school is supported by Country Areas Program (CAP) funding which is used to provide opportunities for students which they might otherwise not get due to geographic isolation. Students have opportunities to develop skills and achieve success in the sporting, cultural and academic fields. The school has been recognised for its consistent growth in students' results in national literacy and numeracy tests and for its success at state level in various sports.
