Carrington Public School
Carrington Public School is a small, well-resourced school, close to the city-centre of Newcastle. We pride ourself on fabulous teaching staff and happy students. We offer strong educational and enrichment programs such as music, choir, debating and drama. We have lovely grounds, sandpit and cubby-house, a school bus, video-conferencing facilities and lots more. Visitors are always welcome to tour our school. Our aim is to provide high quality teaching instruction that meets the learning needs of every student. Optimum performance is encouraged in all learning experiences. We welcome students from all cultures and celebrate our Indigenous heritage. We teach our students to be confident, considerate and respectful at all times. We believe all students are entitled to a socially, emotionally and physically safe learning environment. We value our community and believe that a child's success is based on a three-way partnership between the staff, the parents and the student. Through this partnership we aim to create students who are life-long learners, independent thinkers, respectful individuals and responsible citizens.
