Uranquinty Public School
This school serves the village of Uranquinty and the surrounding farming district. The village is situated on the outskirts of the City of Wagga Wagga. It caters for children from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. Every effort is made to ensure that the children receive equal opportunities in all facets of education. Children are encouraged to develop a friendly, caring attitude towards their fellow pupils. Experienced staff provide educational programs to meet the academic, physical, cultural, personal and social needs of all the children from Kindergarten to Year Six. The school's mission is to ensure that all of our students regardless of their ability level, have the opportunity to reach their personal best in all aspects of their primary schooling. The school endeavours to instil many values with the three main ones being courtesy, honesty and responsibility. Our curriculum provides relevant, up-to-date subjects with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy and technology. Our school is successful because we have an excellent learning environment, with opportunities for all to participate and a very supportive school community.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories.
