Burwood Public School

Burwood Public School is an excellent well established school that has been providing quality education to the inner west community since 1871. We have approximately 500 students from a diverse community of 45 cultural and linguistic groups including international students. The school is supported by an active Parents and Citizen Association. Our experienced dedicated teachers provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Our core business of Literacy and Numeracy is supported by strong welfare programs. Students are challenged through quality and successful teaching programs and are encouraged to become independent learners and confident users of technology. The school caters for student learning needs through programs as gifted and talented, early intervention, learning and Hearing support. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of learning experiences such as dance, orchestra, choir, strings, debating, public speaking, excursions, camps and sports programs. There is a quality Before and After School Care Centre and many after-school programs run onsite by external providers including chess, robotics, Chinese School and Tae Kwon Do.
