Bowraville Central School

Bowraville Central School is a Kindergarten to Year 12 campus serving a diverse community within the Nambucca Valley Community of Public Schools, Mid-North Coast, NSW. By utilising our strengths as a learning community and by supporting staff professionally through a focus on Quality Teaching, we intend to create a safe and caring environment for learning within which each student is respected, supported and extended. With a long and proud history dating from 1875, the school's first ever Year 12 candidates completed their Higher School Certificate examinations in 2008. This historic phase of the school's development coincides with the completion of a $6,000,000 capital works upgrade, enabling the further enrichment and expansion of our curriculum. Programs at the school's two hectare farm now include Primary Industries. Other VET courses include Hospitality, Metals and Engineering, and Construction. A PSP school with strong community support, Bowraville Central School is very proud of its extensive Gumbaynggirr Program across the school. This study of local Aboriginal language and culture has been developed in conjunction with the NSW Board of Studies and Muurrbay Language Centre.
