Bonalbo Central School

Bonalbo Central School (K to12) is situated in the upper reaches of the Clarence Valley in northern NSW. Students travel to the school from a wide area including Old Bonalbo, Drake, Tabulam, Mallanganee and Ewingar. The school offers a broad range of academic subjects through to HSC level, including VET courses and Adult courses. Classes are small, enabling staff to offer personalised attention and this is reflected in the successful transition of our students into tertiary study and employment. Our motto of Lifelong Learning embodies the goals of developing the skills necessary for life in a rapidly changing world. The K to12 nature of the school allows students to interact across years which helps to develop understanding and caring. Primary students have the opportunity to use specialist learning facilities in the secondary school and utilise specialist staff. Information technology is well-developed with computer access, IWBs and VC facilities. BCS student welfare policy actively focuses on developing positive learning attitudes in our students and is constantly under review to ensure the best possible outcomes for all. The school has strengths in canoeing, music and agriculture.
