Berridale Public School

The township of Berridale is situated in the Snowy Mountains region, between Jindabyne and Cooma. It is the administrative centre of Snowy River Shire. Berridale PS services the town community and the surrounding rural areas. The school currently has four classes, with an average enrolment over the past five years of 90. All classes are in permanent buildings, with a separate library and special programs room. There is approximately two hectares of playground area, including a tennis court, basketball/netball court, sports field and a large area shaded by heritage listed trees. Berridale PS prides itself on the provision of quality learning programs across all Key Learning Areas. The school utilises resources from a variety of sources to provide extra learning support for students at both ends of the learning spectrum. Teaching staff at the school are actively involved in ongoing professional learning, and all permanent teaching staff have post-graduate qualifications. Berridale PS provides excellent opportunities for students in the arts and sporting arenas. The school has a strong performance music program, supported through CAP, as well as a ski program for all students.
