Bellevue Hill Public School

Bellevue Hill Public School is located adjacent to Bellevue Park which overlooks Sydney Harbour and Bondi Beach, hence the name Bellevue or 'beautiful view'. The school community is committed to the development of academic excellence, social responsibility and student welfare within a caring and culturally enriched environment. The school achieves its mission by providing classroom environments which are conducive to positive learning. Excellence is promoted through a stimulating curriculum to challenge the thinking and creative skills of the children. The school is enriched by its highly literate and culturally diverse population. A wide variety of programs with specialist teachers in languages, sport and music cater for students' different learning styles. Gifted and talented education is further promoted through several school initiatives, including a mathematics enrichment program, rich learning and assessment tasks with a strong focus on ICT. The core values of the school are upheld through strong student welfare programs developing student leadership K to 6 and a positive discipline policy to promote respect and responsibility. The school is currently undergoing major capital works with the construction of 24 new classrooms and library to cater for up to 1000 students. There is also a refrubished administration area as well as an extension of the COLA and a new canteen. The new building is designed for open plan learning with flexible fruniture in all of it's classrooms.
