The school's intake area is changing
Due to significant residential and population growth along with anticipating future housing developments, the Department of Education is making changes in your area. To ensure all primary aged children can equally access education at their local school, the intake area for this school is changing for all new enrolments [Kindergarten to Year 6] from 3 June 2025. The new intake area is viewable via School Finder. Students who enrolled before 3 June 2025 are not impacted.
· High School intake areas are not impacted by this change.
I have a child already attending school. Can they stay there if I am now in a different public school’s intake area?
Yes, they can. There is no change for students already attending school.
What happens if I currently have a child enrolled in my previous in-area school and I want to enrol their sibling in the same school, which is now deemed non-local?
Families living in an area affected by the change who have a child/children already enrolled at a different school can stay at that school. They are also able to enrol other siblings.
What if I have not yet enrolled and I am now in an intake area for a different school but I want to enrol in my previous in-area school or another school?
The standard process will apply for requests for non-local enrolments in accordance with the department’s enrolment policy. Please contact the principal of the school where you are seeking enrolment for further information.
