Barrington Public School
Barrington Public School's mission through its students, parents and staff is to promote excellence in education and integrity in personal behaviour, in a family atmosphere and rural environment. We offer a wide range of learning experiences whilst maintaining a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, technology and the creative arts. We are also able to ensure our students experience a diversity of sporting activities and opportunities. We offer our students a range of cultural activities. We have a strong academic record and a tradition of sporting success. Our peaceful learning environment includes two covered outdoor learning areas, a well-resourced library and extensive, shade-covered play and fitness areas as well our tennis court. All of our air conditioned classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards. We are well resourced and provide students with access to the latest technologies including two sets of iPads. We are privileged to have an extremely supportive and active parent community who work together with the experienced, dedicated staff to make this a great little school. We are a member of the Bucketts Way Learning Community, a group of schools committed to working together to provide the best possible education for all students. Our primary-secondary transition programs promote important links with our neighbouring high school for the benefit of your child.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
