Alstonville Public School is situated in a picturesque village in the Northern Rivers Region of NSW, overlooking the Ballina coastline. We are committed to providing varied and comprehensive programs, which cater for the strengths and needs of individual students. Quality teaching and learning are promoted in a safe, caring and secure environment. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, develop their strengths, gain knowledge and skills and take responsibility for their actions.The school offers varied initiatives for students to explore and develop their talents. Students have the opportunity to join the School Parliament, band, choir, dance group, public speaking and debating teams, environmental team and sporting teams. Our school has extensive ICT programs which are supported by a Technology Centre, Library Information Centre, Connected Classrooms and Interactive Whiteboards. Well resourced classrooms, school halls, undercover learning and play areas, fixed equipment, hard-court play areas and a large grassed playground support our children in their learning. A committed team of students, teachers and parents work together to develop the school environmental management plan resulting in established outdoor learning spaces, multipurpose sporting facilities and florishing vegetable gardens. Environmental programs are offered for students through involvement in the school green team. The school’s produce is used in the school canteen.
