The Ponds High School upgrade

As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering $3.9 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.

The planning application, known as the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) has now been determined.

The planning application for the upgrade was on public exhibition on the NSW Planning Portal for Division 5.1 (Part 5) Activities until 3 November 2025.

The benefits

The Ponds High School will receive:

  • 51 permanent classrooms to replace dozens of demountable classrooms currently on the school site
  • extension to the northern carpark for 56 additional car spaces
  • an upgrade to the electricity substation
  • an upgrade to the sports field 
  • new cricket nets.
