New high school for Googong

As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the 2024-25 Budget is delivering record education funding, including a historic $1.4 billion for new and upgraded schools in regional NSW. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.

Planning is underway to progress a new high school forGoogong. The planning and design work is continuing for the new high school to cater to the area’s growing population. 

The new high school will open Day 1, Term 1, 2027.

  • specialist classrooms for science, wood and metal workshops, performing arts and hospitality
  • a multipurpose hall for sports and performance, sports and recreation facilities
  • a library, canteen, administration facilities and parking.
