As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering $3.9 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.

Construction is underway to deliver a new primary and public preschool for Wilton. The schools will not only provide essential education infrastructure but also accommodate the anticipated increase in enrolments in the area and allow families to conveniently access educational facilities close to home.

Enrolments are now open for students starting Day 1 Term 1 2027. Visit the Wilton Ridge Public School website for information on how to enrol.

Progress summary

In March this year, we asked for your feedback on the proposed school names for the new high school, primary school and public preschool for Wilton. Following the consultation process, we are pleased to announce the names have been finalised. The new schools for Wilton will be named: Wilton High School, Wilton Ridge Public School and Wilton Ridge Public Preschool. We thank those who participated for your feedback.
Work is progressing well for the primary school, preschool and Stage 1 of the high school.
Concrete pours and roof panels for the multistorey buildings are finished and the framework for the hall has been installed.
We have started installing internal wall sheeting in Block A of the primary school and started work on the façade. The façade is the face of building that will be seen from the school entry.
We have started installing pipes and cables for services such as electrical and water in Block B of the primary school and Block A of the high school.

Community information session

We are committed to working together with the Wilton community and other stakeholders to deliver the best possible facilities. We will be hosting a drop-in information session at Wilton Public School (school hall) on Wednesday, 9 April 2025 from 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm. The information session provides an opportunity for the community to ask the project team questions about the new primary school and public preschool in Wilton.
