Hunter School of Performing Arts completed project
The NSW Government is investing $6 billion over the next four years to deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. In addition, a record $1.3 billion is being spent on school maintenance over four years, along with a record $500 million for the sustainable Cooler Classrooms program to provide air conditioning to schools. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
An upgrade is complete at Hunter School of Performing Arts. The project included enhanced:
multi-purpose centre with gymnasium, hall and performance space
performing arts workshops
dance and drama studios
bathroom and change room facilities
outdoor games courts.
The concrete dome was removed as part of the works.
Construction is complete. The new facilities opened for the first day of the 2019 school year.
