As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering $2.1 billion for new and upgraded schools in regional NSW. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.
A project is underway to redevelop Gillieston Public School by replacing the demountables on the existing site with modern classrooms and additional facilities, including toilets, and adding a new public preschool.
Throughout construction, the current school will stay operational, ensuring teaching and learning continue on-site.
The upgraded school is scheduled to open Day 1 Term 1 2027 and has been master planned for future growth.
Once the new facilities open, existing demountable buildings will be removed from the site and landscaping works will be completed.
