As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the 2025-26 Budget is delivering $3.9 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.

The upgrade at Girraween Public School will meet enrolment growth and deliver modern learning spaces and facilities. 

The benefits

  • A new 3-storey building with 38 permanent classrooms and support classrooms (Building O).
  • Extensions to the hall and COLA. 
  • Extension and refurbishment of building L.
  • Upgraded amenities.
  • External work including landscaping, improved access and refurbished carpark.

The NSW Government is continuing work to ensure families and children across Western Sydney have access to quality public education infrastructure, with a major upgrade for one of the area's most overcrowded schools commencing today.
