As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering $3.9 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.
The upgrade for Austral Public School is in progress and will include new fit-for-purpose learning spaces and improved core facilities to support the growing student population in the area. The upgrades will be delivered in two stages. Stage 1 is forecast to open by late 2026.
Stage 2 of the project will add additional capacity to the school to meet the needs of the growing community. Designs and a construction timeline for Stage 2 will be shared with the community later this year.
The public exhibition for the planning application regarding the Austral Public School upgrade has closed. The Planning and Assessment team will review all submissions. We will share the decision with the community once it is made.
The plans remain available to view while the submissions are reviewed. View the plans.
