Moree Secondary College campus consolidation approved

Release date: 16 December 2022

Moree Secondary College students will soon be learning together, with the Department working towards consolidating the two campuses.

The college has been split between two campuses since the school was created 20 years ago, with the Year 10 to 12 students attending the Albert Street campus and Year 7 to 9 students at the Carol Avenue campus

The school community, including the P&C Association and the local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) are supportive of consolidating the campuses and we would now like to hear from the community.

Consultation will be a key part of the campus consolidation. The community can provide their views by responding to a survey to share what is most important to them and which of the two campuses is preferred.

The site will be chosen taking into consideration community feedback and technical needs. The community will be updated, including the timeframe for the consolidation and new facilities to be provided for the school.

We will provide regular updates of the planning process as it progresses.
