As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering $3.9 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.
Planning is underway to deliver a new high school for Wilton. The school will not only provide essential education infrastructure but also accommodate the anticipated increase in high school enrolments in the area and allow families to conveniently access educational facilities close to home.
The new high school will be delivered across two stages with Stage 1 of the high school opening on Day 1 Term 1 2027, together with the new primary school and public preschool.
The school will cater up to 187 students when it opens Stage 1 in 2027. Once Stage 2 is complete in 2028, the school will have capacity for up to 1,000 students.
The planning application, known as a Review of Environmental Factors (REF), for the new high for Wilton is now on public exhibition on the NSW Planning Portal for Division 5.1 (Part 5) Activities between Saturday 26 July 2025 and Friday 22 August 2025.
