As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the 2024-25 Budget is delivering record education funding, including $3.6 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.

Progress summary

Planning is underway for a new high school for Wilton to open on Day 1 Term 1 2027.

The starting year groups for the high school are yet to be confirmed but the high school is likely to open in a staggered manner. Student numbers will grow progressively from the first year of opening.

A staged approach to construction is being considered to give students access to a high school in the area as soon as possible. This means that while the school will open, construction will continue to provide and enhance the facilities further.
