Rydalmere Public School upgrade

As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering $4.1 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.

As part of this investment, an upgrade to Rydalmere Public School is undergoing planning, to accommodate the future needs of the growing communities across Rydalmere. 

Further updates on the project will be provided as the project progresses.

Plans on exhibition

The development plans/planning application for the project  is now on public exhibition on the NSW Planning Portal for Division 5.1 (Part 5) Activities until Monday 2 November 2026.

Detailed plans for the proposed activity are set out in the REF.  A link to the REF on the Planning Portal is included on the department’s project webpage. 

Any comments on the proposal may be lodged through the Planning Portal by no later than 2 November 2026.

The benefits

  • a new hall with a COLA and new Out of School Hours facilities
  • 3 new support learning classrooms
  • new classrooms to replace some of the existing classrooms
  • refurbishment of the existing administrative facilities
