As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering $3.9 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.
Parramatta East Public School upgrade
The benefits
As Parramatta East Public School celebrates 75 years of delivering public education in 2024, an exciting project to upgrade the school is in planning.
The ugrade includes a new three storey building on Albert Street East and upgrades to the existing school facilities. The upgrade will include:
- 24 new standard classrooms with 6 shared common areas and 6 large multipurpose spaces
- secure administration with separate public and student entrances
- a new learning support unit with three classrooms and a multipurpose space
- a new school library
- student amenities
- removal of existing dmeountables.
In addition to the new building, upgrades to the existing school facilities include:
- refurbishment of 6 existing classrooms and conversion of the existing library to a staff room
- additional staff parking
- removal of demountable classrooms to provide more play space for students
- refurbishment of existing classrooms and conversion of existing library to a staff room
- public domain works to improve pedestrian safety outside the school.
To make way for the new buildings, blocks C,D,E & F (buildings currently facing Albert Street East) will be demolished.
