The department is pleased to announce a project to build a new primary school and preschool in Emerald Hills, Leppington.
The new school will have capacity for at least 550 students and provide essential education infrastructure to accommodate the anticipated increase in population in the Emerald Hills area, allowing families to conveniently access high quality public education facilities close to home.
The new school will be located on a site on Emerald Hills Boulevard, adjacent to Emerald Hills Reserve, and will open Day 1 Term 1 2028.
Master planning for the school is complete. Master planning assesses the physical site and determines the optimal use of space, including building placement, landscaping, and outdoor areas. It anticipates future growth and changes in student enrolment.
Site due diligence assessments and investigations are underway to inform further planning and design requirements for the project.
We have engaged the design, engineering and specialist technical service providers for the project and will start consultation on the concept designs.
