As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering record education funding, including $9 billion for new and upgraded schools. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.
Site investigations, as well as traffic and transport studies, have indicated that the site at Halifax Street and Jarvis Circuit is best suited for a standalone high school. The Macquarie Park new high school will meet expected enrolment growth in the area and respond to the site constraints by delivering the best facilities for students on the land available..The school will be delivered as a traditional high school to achieve the best outcome for the Macquarie Park community.
Construction is expected to start in 2026 with completion planned for 2028.
The project forms part of the NSW Government’s broader strategy of investment in the Ryde area to cater for enrolment growth. The investment also includes Midtown Macquarie Park new primary school and an upgrade to Ryde Secondary College.
