South Sydney High School upgrade

The NSW Government is committed to delivering high potential and gifted education (HPGE) in every school through $100 million of investment into the HPGE Partner School program. 

Under the program, 33 high schools including South Sydney High School are receiving facility upgrades to accommodate increased enrolments and broaden educational opportunities. This is in addition to the tailored HPGE offerings available through the Inspire program at all NSW schools.

The benefits

Work will include:   

  • school entrance refresh  
  • upgrades to 4 woodwork rooms and storage to support the vocational education and training (VET) program  
  • upgrades to 2 Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) classrooms and 3 art workshops  
  • hall and library upgrade  
  • upgrade to gym laboratory.
