Eagle Vale High School upgrade (selective sports stream)

The rejuvenation work to the playing field and the sprint training track is progressing.

• Design of the multipurpose sports hall has progressed in consultation with Project Reference Group (PRG).

• The planning approval pathway for the new sports field lighting, new half-sized playing field and multipurpose hall is via a Review of Environmental Factors (REF), which assesses the likely impacts of the proposed project. The team are preparing the documents for the REF.

• The construction tender to appoint a building contractor for the delivery of the new multipurpose hall building and associated external works has been released. Over the coming months we will review tender submissions and award the building contract.

Construction work hours will be from 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and from 8:30 am to 1:30pm on Saturday. Works will be contained inside the school premises with minimal noise.

• Share designs and consult with the community on the new sports field lighting at an information session on 26 June 2025.

• Completion of the rejuvenation work to the sports field and the sprint training track is scheduled for mid 2025.

• Submit the REF. Plans will be available for community review once the planning application is on public exhibition.

• Complete the tender process and award the construction contract. The appointed contractor will advance the design of the new building to prepare for construction.
