The department is dedicated to providing a vibrant and productive learning environment at Castle Hill High School to ensure every student feels supported, valued, and has access to quality facilities.

The NSW Government’s 2026/27 Budget is providing investment to undertake the planning work for the future of Castle Hill High School. Given the challenges of the site and the number of demountable classrooms on the site, this is a significant undertaking that will need to consider the condition of current school asset and land availability in the area.

Planning for the future of Castle Hill High School will also involve reviewing enrolment projections for the area and needs of the broader school community. Options will then be presented to Government for the schools’ long-term future.

The department has guidelines that assist in determining the facilities and space required for schools. As part of our planning, we look at how the community’s population is expected to grow to the capacity schools need in the long term. This helps us make sure schools meet the needs of students now and in the future.
