As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering record education funding, including $9.2 billion for new and upgraded schools. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.
Upgrades were completed in time for Hornsby High School (formerly Asquith Boys High School) to open as a co-educational Years 7–12 high school accepting Years 7, 9 and 11 on Day 1 Term 1 2026. All cohorts will be co-educational from 2027.
The next and final stage of the upgrade will be to expand the commercial kitchen, build a new dance studio, install a new shade structure over the sports court, and install new outdoor pavilions, shade structures and seating.
Minor refurbishment works to the Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) metal workshop will also be carried out. We expect this final stage of works to be completed by mid 2027.
