Girls in Property Week 2023

Release date: 02 May 2023

The launch of Girls in Property Week 2023 took place today in Barangaroo, Sydney with 104 Year 9 and 10 students participating from Mackellar Girls, Strathfield Girls, Riverside Girls, Auburn Girls, Randwick Girls, Asquith Girls, and Liverpool Girls high schools.

The program will continue to run across the Illawarra on Thursday 4 May and Newcastle on 25 May.

As a partnership between School Infrastructure NSW and the Property Council of Australia, Girls in Property Week is all about getting female high school students to consider a career in property.

Girls in Property Week raises awareness of career opportunities for women in the property and infrastructure sectors.

Female students in NSW public high schools will gain first-hand experience from industry leaders so they can make more informed choices about their career.

Through the program, selected female students will attend talks and events, go on site tours and be part of a team project that designs a structure to address a specific need.

Students from each participating school will be on one of 4 group projects under the following themes:

  • residential project
  • creating a ‘place’ for your school
  • retail project
  •  industrial project.
