New Central Sydney Intensive English High School opens

The highly anticipated $30 million relocation of Cleveland Street Intensive English High School is now complete, with the new school – now known as Central Sydney Intensive English High School – set to welcome students for the first day of term this week.

The new state-of-the-art Central Sydney Intensive English High School includes 23 classrooms and specialist learning spaces for food technology, art, science and music classes, as well as a new library and hall.  

All classrooms will be air conditioned as part of the NSW Government’s Cooler Classrooms program that is seeing air conditioning delivered in thousands of classrooms across the State.

The NSW Government is investing $6 billion over four years to deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. In addition, $847 million is being spent on school maintenance over four years.
